Egypt is considered one of the largest economies in Africa with one of the opt GDPs in the region. Also Egypt has a diversified industrial and energy sectors. Thus, Vaisala identified Egypt as one of the important markets. Vaisala has many deployments in Egypt but it wants to significantly expand their support through its partners as they believe their patented technologies can benefit this growing market.

That was the reason for the visit of Mr. Pekka Ravila, EMEA Vice President for Industrial Measurements at Vaisala and Mr. Samy Oumaziz, Distributor Sales Manager for Industrial Measurements at Vaisala. As their partner in Egypt, RMS family had the pleasure to host both at RMS premises. Vaisala has been predicting the unpredictable for over 85 years. They are a global leader in weather, environmental and industrial measurements, and their technologies can be found in demanding environments from sugar and petrochemical plants to pharmaceutical, data centres and airports all over the world, and beyond, as even the Mars rovers Curiosity and Perseverance are equipped with Vaisala sensors. Their technologies include thin-film humidity sensors, infrared gas sensors, optical liquid sensors, optical weather sensors, and radio frequency technologies, among others.

Vaisala refractometers help in measuring liquid density or concentration in demanding applications with very high accuracy. They are independent of process conditions, solids and bubbles and don’t require recalibration. They can be installed with self-cleaning mechanism to ensure unaffected measurement for many years. With inline analysis of the liquid, customers can avoid offline lab measurement and can introduce automated control action based on measured medium density / concentration.
